ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to model metabolism for a river reach there are only a few essential requirements. You need continuous (e.g. at least 30 minute resolution) streamflow and dissolved oxygen concentrations and continuous stream temperature. You also must know the exact location of your site so that the model can figure out the timing of sunrise and sunset each day. Click on any > task below to learn more and access SOPs.

RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENTAL DATA
While not necessary to model GPP, ER and NEP for your river reach, we recommend collecting the following information in order to significantly improve your model performance and to contextualize and compare your model output to other sites.
